Marine geotechnical surveys for the development of the Kashagan oil field. 2019.
Areal and linear engineering-geological and geotechnical surveys were performed in offshore conditions, including continuous drilling, static probing, laboratory testing of soils and natural waters in shipboard and stationary laboratories, and geotechnical calculations.
An engineering-geological report was obtained, a soil foundation assessment was provided, geological and geotechnical borehole and SRTU point columns and engineering-geological cross-sections were constructed, soil passports were compiled, an assessment of dredging operations was provided, and recommendations for the use of excavated soil were prepared. Operational, Laboratory, and Final Reports were developed.
An engineering-geological report was obtained, a soil foundation assessment was provided, geological and geotechnical borehole and SRTU point columns and engineering-geological cross-sections were constructed, soil passports were compiled, an assessment of dredging operations was provided, and recommendations for the use of excavated soil were prepared. Four projects were completed: three linear (approximately 100 km in total) and one areal (expansion of a man-made island). These included drilling with continuous sampling, static soil penetration testing, laboratory testing of soils and natural waters in shipboard and stationary laboratories, seismic soil liquefaction studies, and geotechnical calculations, including soil bearing capacity calculations.
