In 2023, the Scientific Production Center GEOKEN LLP provided services for the development of the “Comprehensive Geodynamic Monitoring Program for the Subsurface Condition of the Tenge Field for the Period 2023–2027.”
The program was developed taking into account the requirements of the regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan and methodological guidelines used in geodynamic studies at hydrocarbon fields and was approved by the RGU MD “Zapkaznedra.” The tasks were consistently addressed in accordance with the Technical Assignment issued by LLP “TENGE OIL & GAS.”
An objective analysis of previous studies was carried out. The conclusions are consistent and well-founded. Based on these conclusions, taking into account informativeness, progressiveness, and economic feasibility, the measurement methodology was developed, and the equipment-metrological support and software complex for geodynamic monitoring at the Tenge field were recommended at a modern level.
The program incorporates a systematic approach to organizing and conducting comprehensive geodynamic monitoring.

Scientific Production Center GEOKEN LLP in 2023 participated in the final drilling of the geological structure of the Vasilkovskoye field in the Zerendi district of Akmola region, where it carried out comprehensive well logging using a gyroscopic inclinometer.

GEOKEN SPC LLP commissioned by Zhana Mys LLP under Contract No. JM/7 dated May 13, 2022, carried out comprehensive geophysical work in the Karaganda and East Kazakhstan regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The studies were conducted to identify and trace fault tectonics, distinguish between sedimentary and igneous rocks, and delineate mineralized quartz-sulfide zones with ore potential.
 
More than 1,400 line-kilometers were surveyed using airborne magnetic and electrical methods in accordance with the technical assignment in 2022.
 
The project work was carried out using modern, state-of-the-art specialized technologies and software products. Data registration employed the GDD Instrumentation GRx8-32, Txll-5, DJI Matrice 300 RTK quadcopter, GEOSHARK MG30GM magnetometer, MBC Pico PBM/PMAG, EER-5M, VPF-8K, and VPF-210M. Topographic support was provided using the Trimble system.
 
The collected and systematized geological and geophysical materials were used as the basis for planning further geological exploration, identifying prospective areas, and justifying the volumes and methods of exploratory geological work.

GEOKEN SPC LLP, commissioned by ERG Exploration LLP, carried out ground electrical survey work in the Aktobe and Kostanay regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2022. The studies were conducted to identify potentially prospective areas for polymetallic ore exploration.
 
According to the Technical Assignment, electrical surveys were conducted on 8 sites. The survey was carried out from June 2022 to September 2022. The total scope of electrical survey work amounted to 119.7 line-kilometers.
 
The project work was performed using modern, state-of-the-art specialized technologies and software products. Data registration employed the GDD Instrumentation GRx8-32 and Txll-5 electrical survey systems. Topographic support was provided using the Trimble R12 system.
 
As a result of the work, 3D models of electrical properties were obtained, potentially prospective areas for polymetallic ore were identified, and recommendations were given for the placement of exploratory wells. The collected materials, together with other geological and geophysical data, were used for geological mapping and allowed for a more substantiated approach to understanding the geological structure of the surveyed area and identifying promising targets.

From November 2019 to September 2021, SPC “GEOKEN SPC LLP ” LLP carried out work on the collection, compilation, and digitization of geological and geophysical materials, as well as their comprehensive reinterpretation for areas and detailed sites within the operational regions of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP (Zhezkazgan, Karaganda, Balkhash).
 
On an area of over 200,000 sq. km, the work included:
 
·        Collection, analysis, and processing of archival gravimetric and magnetometric materials;
·        Systematization of archival data, including study materials, source data, resulting maps, and catalogs;
·        Spatial referencing and vectorization of raster map images, creation of digital datasets;
·        Correlation and statistical analysis of magnetic and gravity fields, calculation of transforms;
·        Calculation of volumetric models of magnetic and density parameters of the geological environment using interpretational tomography methods, with results presented as data “cubes.”
 
Modern software was used for data processing, including Geosoft Oasis Montaj™, COSCAD 3D, SIGMA 3D, ArcGIS, SURFER, and DIDGER.
 
The digital geophysical information prepared as a result of the work significantly complements the existing understanding of the geological structure of the surveyed territory and can serve as an additional data source for constructing various structural-tectonic and predictive schemes, planning, and performing further geological and geophysical work, substantially increasing the efficiency and quality of the work.

As a result of an open tender, GEOKEN SPC LLP was selected as a contractor by Korgantas LLP to carry out ground geophysical works at the “Korgantas” site in the Karaganda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan and performed the works at the site in September 2016.
 
In the field, the work program was implemented using dipole-dipole and audio-magnetotelluric electrical exploration methods. Following the fieldwork, data processing, inversion model calculations, and development of cross-sections for each exploration profile were carried out. As a result, polarization and conductivity models of several prospective areas were created. These models will be interpreted in a geological-exploration context and will assist in making decisions regarding the placement of exploration targets.
 

During the implementation of the contract for ground geophysical work at the site, GEOKEN SPC LLP professionally executed the work in accordance with contractual obligations. All work was completed within the established deadlines, in accordance with the technical assignment and the requirements of Rio Tinto’s geological exploration division for compliance with occupational health, safety, environmental protection, and local community protection.

GEOKEN SPC LLP commissioned by CMOC B.V., carried out marine geophysical surveys in 2010–2011 for the construction of pipelines and drilling sites, including analog and digital surveys, as well as unexploded ordnance surveys along the planned pipeline route in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea.
 
In 2010, GEOKEN SPC LLP under the orders of CMOC B.V., successfully performed navigation support and positioning for the final drilling point of the jack-up rig, as well as associated surveys to ensure the safe movement of the rig within the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea.

Maersk Oil Kazakhstan GmbH has been cooperating with the Scientific and Production Center Geoken since 2011. This cooperation began with the development of a Geodynamic Monitoring Program at the Dunga field and the construction of a geodynamic test site.
During the period 2014–2015, SPC GEOKEN carried out geodynamic studies in the territory of the Dunga field, including second-class leveling, high-precision GNSS observations, and gravimetric measurements twice a year. At present, geodynamic monitoring works are continuing.
All field measurements were performed using a high-precision hardware and software complex, represented by automated gravimeters CG5 Autograv, Leica DNA03 digital levels, Trimble R7 and R5 multi-frequency receivers, high-precision GNSS and GNSS-Ti Choke Ring antennas, and specialized software packages Trimble Business Center, Topcon Tools, ArcGIS, MapINFO, Surfer, Grapher, and others. Thanks to this, as well as the professional expertise of the specialists of SPC Geoken and strict compliance with the requirements of methodologies and work instructions, all field observations were carried out with errors not exceeding the limits of measurement accuracy used in geodynamic studies.
In February–March 2016, GEOKEN SPC LLP performed engineering and geological survey works at the Dunga field for the construction of oilfield facilities at two sites. The works were completed in full, within minimal timeframes, at an appropriate professional level, and delivered in accordance with the schedule determined by Maersk Oil Kazakhstan GmbH.
