GEOKEN SPC – Sponsor of the VII International Field Olympiad for Young Geologists
The VII International Field Olympiad for Young Geologists, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Academician K. Satpayev, has been officially opened in Shchuchinsk. The event has brought together 20 teams of high school students from different regions of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.
The winning team will have the opportunity to participate in the All-Russia Olympiad of Young Geologists in 2025.
The main organiser of the Olympiad is the Corporate Fund “Zhas Geolog”.
The aim of the Olympiad is to provide early career orientation for young people, to increase students’ interest in geological sciences, to promote geology as a science and its practical significance, to identify and support talented children, and to draw attention to issues of geo-ecology and resource conservation.
